SNL dropped a hilarious parody of MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ that will make your day.
The video below brilliantly summarizes the frenzied week that was, from Oprah’s emergence as a political savior and potential 2020 challenger, to Bannon’s removal from Breitbart News after inflammatory quotes surfaced in Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury.”
Bill Murray returned to SNL to make an appearance as Steve Bannon after a ridiculously embarrassing week for the ‘Bannon Cannon’ in which he was fired from his post as executive editor at Breitbart following a public row with Trump over the fallout from Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury.”
Author Michael Wolff, played by legendary SNL comedian Fred Armisen, ridiculed Bannon in the skit for his denial of quotes from the book critical of Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner.
Bannon reportedly called Don Jr. and Kushner’s infamous Trump Tower meeting with the Russians “Treasonous,” which caught the ire of Donald Trump on Twitter, leading to a hasty denial and apology from Bannon. However, in a textbook Trump move, Bannon’s forced apology was not enough as Breitbart’s billionaire backer, Robert Mercer, cut ties with Bannon.
The clip ends with Oprah, played by Leslie Jones, appearing to save the day after a raucous week for the billionaire media mogul following her rousing speech at the Golden Globes that have many Democrats considering her as a viable 2020 contender.
